Creations from the artists of Cumbria during Lockdown
*** All profits to charity – Last few books remaining ***
On 23 March, 2020 Britain entered lockdown.
Cumbrian artists were invited to submit work inspired by their experiences for a new book aimed at recording this unique time.
In all, over 200 artists from around the county sent in work, from illustrations to fine art, prints to poetry, photography to sculpture.
'Through the Locking Glass' showcases 80 of these pieces in a lavish 168-page coffee table book, with each spread featuring an artist's work, as well as details of how the Covid-19 lockdown impacted their life, livelihoods and art.
At once a story of human endeavour in exceptional times and a record of a unique period in history, 'Through the Locking Glass' is a sometimes-heartbreaking, often-hopeful and always-inspiring collection of the best of creative Cumbria.
All profits from the sale of this book are donated to Cumbrian NHS Trusts and local grassroots arts organisations.

***Here at Inspired by Lakeland we hate waste. Therefore we are giving away a free Foods tea towel with every £15 spent. These are almost perfect tea towels...just a teeny tiny spelling mistake (bet you won't spot it!) means we will not sell them and hope our lovely customers might like them as a free gift.
